FOX 514
Back to the Future
With the FOX 514 A.R.C. provides a battery-operated, portable retina laser for the operating room offering all treatment advantages with the typical argon wavelength of 514 nm.
Ideal for:
- Endocoagulation
- Retinal laser treatment with ophthalmoscope

From the xenon lamp to the argon laser to KTP lasers. I’ve experienced all this myself. Now the new ARGON is as small as a SLR camera – If I would have known that 43 years ago, we would have saved a lot of development work. Well, that’s life.

History

1980ies
… starts with a dye laser from Meditec
The picture shows the dye laser with all colors from green to yellow to red. The housing dimensions have decreased significantly, the systems have become more favorable and have become established in clinical therapy.

2009
… and continues with a KTP laser from A.R.C. in 2009
The green wavelength of the argon laser – 514 nm – was missed by many when the change to the KTP with 532 nm was made.

2018
… and finally, we have arrived ‘Back to the future’ – the FOX 514
With the small portable FOX 514 we continue to write story! The new argon is small – lightweight and can be operated in battery mode without disturbing wires. Its power ranges up to 1.5 watts in cw-mode, pulsed or single-pulse mode.
